PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the release of the free PS4 games for October 2019.
The next batch of PS Plus free games were announced at the tail-end of Sony’s recent State of Play presentation.
It’s definitely one of the strongest months in PlayStation Plus history, as MLB The Show ’19 and The Last of Us Remastered join the lineup.
The new PS Plus games will be available to download on the morning of October 1, so you won’t have to wait very long.
On the flipside, it’s also your last chance to pick up the free PS4 games for September 2019.
This includes the excellent Batman Arkham Knight, as well as the not so hot Darksiders 3.
If you own a PS4 but don’t have a PlayStation Plus subscription, then you can get all four games by taking advantage of this amazing new deal today.
If you head over to CD Keys, you can pick up a 12 month PS Plus subscription for just £39.79. That’s a saving of 20%.
While this is a UK deal, similar offers are available in other regions.
After purchasing the annual subscription, CDKeys will send you a confirmation email with a download link.
After verifying your phone number, you will be sent a pin, which can then be used to access your code.
If you activate the deal today, then be sure to download the September 2019 free PS4 games before they disappear.
More importantly, you’ll be ready to download and play MLB The Show ’19 and The Last of Us Remastered at launch.
With a Metacritic score of 86%, MLB The Show ’19 features baseball legends both past and present. It’s even got an RPG-style mode, not to mention all the usual single-player and online modes.
“Take part in the ultimate baseball duel: the battle between hitter and pitcher,” reads the official description.
“Get in a quick game, explore a full RPG-style experience or take on the world in online competition – playing as MLB legends past and present.
“Discover the best of baseball. Welcome to The Show.”
Despite being one of the best sporting simulations in memory, it pales in comparison to Sony’s other PS Plus game for October.
With a Metacritic score of 95%, The Last of US Remastered is easily one of the highest rated games to ever appear on PS Plus.
“In a hostile, post-pandemic world, Joel and Ellie, brought together by desperate circumstances, must rely on each other to survive a brutal journey across what remains of the USA,” reads the official description.
The remastered version of what was originally a PS3 game features beautiful 1080p HD visuals, as well as new multiplayer maps and a single-player prequel starring Ellie.
It also comes with a behind-the-scenes in-game commentary from the cast and creative director.
It’s also the perfect way to prepare for the upcoming sequel, which has a February 21 release date in 2020.
