Half-way through a busy month of PS4 game news, PS Plus members are now waiting for the big September 2019 reveal.
The bad news is that it’s very unlikely that next month’s PlayStation Plus news will be announced in the coming days.
Sony holds to a monthly system of making this big PS4 reveal much closer to the end of the month.
So PS Plus gamers will probably have to wait until August 28 before we find out all the juicy details.
There’s also the chance of a surprise leak appearing online before that date, although there haven’t been many of those in 2019.
But until we do find out the new PS Plus games for September 2019, PS4 fans can check out a brand new launch, at no extra charge.
Alongside the monthly free games released on PS4, PlayStation Plus subscribers also get access to exclusive in-game bonuses.
And sometimes we also see new free games launched that don’t require a PlayStation Plus membership.
And in August we have seen both, with a new MOBA title now available to download on PS4 and PS4 Pro.
Genesis is an ambitious project from Rampage Games, their first to be released on the PSN platform.
Genesis is currently only available on PS4 and has run into a few server issues since its launch.
The good news is that the team behind the ambitious controller MOBA has confirmed their plans to improve the game over the coming months.
“The year is 2332, and the Universe is dying,” the official story description reads.
“Expanding far faster than previously imagined, the very fabric of space-time has begun to split at the seams, and in a few short centuries the entire universe will be torn apart in one final, all-encompassing explosion.
“This terrible revelation was first discovered by scientists at the ZPT Corporation—the largest, wealthiest, and most cutthroat commercial entity in existence—and soon made known to all of the universe’s races.
“The Human Federation, despite being a relatively new player on the interstellar stage, spearheaded the search for a way out.
“Hidden away in the perilous dark matter labyrinths of the Eridanus Supervoid, human explorers located an artefact left behind from the Big Bang: a primordial space-time rip which could be used as a gateway out of the Universe. Where exactly this gateway led, none could say, but it offered an escape from certain death.”
For those who want to know more, Genesis is a competitive 5v5 online experience which plans to offer 28 playable heroes.
Core gameplay will include a competitive PvP mode, as well as a single-player and co-op PvE conquest mode.
And there are plans to add more heroes in the future, along with skins and other cosmetics that fans will be familiar with.
Something that helps Genesis stand out is its special two-player controller heroes – Mitch and Cuth.
To use them, players will need to connect two controllers to activate 1P and 2P, controlling Mitch and Cuth respectively.
Each player will have command over four skills and the duo are described as tough opponents to face.
