Nintendo Switch gamers have enjoyed a great 2018 with some bumper exclusive titles released.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Pokemon Let’s Go are just some of the must-have titles that hit the Nintendo Switch in 2018.
And 2019 looks set to be another big year for the Switch, with a new Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Luigi’s Mansion title in the works.
This is in addition to other high-profile IPs like Metroid Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 which don’t have a release date penciled in yet.
Nintendo Switch owners aren’t short of great games to play, and they could be getting some big announcements coming very soon.
Rumours have been circulating that Nintendo Switch fans could be about to get a game that until now has been exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
Persona 5 is one of the best JRPGs of this generation and right now is only playable on the PS4 and PS3.
But it’s rumoured that Atlus are working on a souped-up version of Persona 5 for the Switch, akin to how the PS Vita got a revamped version of Persona 4.

These rumours were only given more weight after the announcement of Persona 5’s Joker being added to Smash Bros as a DLC character.
And now fans are wondering if a Persona 5 Switch announcement is imminent.
As revealed in a post by Persona Central, Atlus has registered a number of Persona website domain names – and recently one of them has been updated.
One of these sites, P5R.JP, looks like it’s being configured at the moment which may mean it’s about to go live any moment now.

That is being broadcast at midnight on December 31 in the land of the rising sun, which will be 2pm UK time today.
If a Persona 5 Switch version isn’t announced today, then it could get a reveal in the coming weeks.
Nintendo typically holds a new Direct presentation at the start of the year in January.

And rumours are circulating that a January 2019 Nintendo Direct will be shown on Thursday January 10.
One YouTuber, Blocked Content, in a video online, outlined what could be coming in the January 2019 Direct according to one leaker.
The leaker claimed that some big announcements will be revealed during the Direct.
Or Persona 5 for the Switch could get announced during a Nintendo Direct
These alleged announcements include the return of Nintendo Land, a Switch remake of Game Boy classic Link’s Awakening and footage of Joker in Smash.
It’s also claimed that the upcoming Yoshi game for the Switch, Yoshi’s Crafted World, will be getting its own Labo kit.
The leaker also claimed a Sonic collection of 3D games and a Rayman trilogy will be heading to the Switch.

It’s best to take these rumours, as any, with a pinch of salt.
But the claims will surely still get plenty of Nintendo fans excited about possible games that could be coming to the Switch in 2019.
