ORIGINAL STORY: The Moto G series has long offered an affordable way to own a smartphone and it could be about to get some big improvements.
The G7 looks set to be unveiled at a major event in Brazil and it could get some new features and a refreshed look.
The launch begins at around 12.30pm GMT and Express.co.uk will be bringing you all the news live as it happens but some leaks have already given us an idea of what’s to come.
Roland Quantd has recently posted an image on Twitter which appears to reveal a device with a bigger edge-to-edge screen and iPhone-style notch at the very top of the device.
A dual-lens rear camera also appears on the rear case along with a small Motorola logo which we’re assuming will act as the fingerprint scanner.
With the G7 expected to be launched with a low price it’s unlikely the fingerprint scanner will be under the display.
Alongside the standard G7, the leak also shows that Motorola could reveal a cheaper device called the G7 Power and much larger phone named the G7 Plus.
Although these latest leaks clearly show the outside of the phone there’s also some news on what will be included under the hood.
Speculation is rife that the standard Moto G7 will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor, 6GB RAM and include a 3,000mAh battery.
There’s currently no word on price but Motorola’s G series have always been incredibly good value and we expect them to cost under £300.
When the Moto G6 launched last year it cost around £240 so expect a similar price to be announced for this latest device.
Check back for all the latest news live from 12.30pm when the Moto G7 launch gets underway.
