If you want to know everything about the new Galaxy S10 then Wednesday, February 20 is the date you need to put in your diary.

The Korean technology firm has just announced this official date to the world’s media with a special Unpacked event taking place in London.

In an email received by Express.co.uk, Samsung revealed: “On 20th February, Samsung Electronics will unveil new devices that promise to usher in new Galaxy experiences based on 10 years of innovations.

The exciting reveal will take place at a Samsung Galaxy UNPACKED event in London at 7pm GMT. More info to follow.”

This date marks a big change for Samsung who have previously unveiled their new Galaxy S phones at Mobile World Congress.

However, this year will different with the tech giant revealing all a few days before MWC opens its doors in Barcelona.

There’s no official confirmation on what will feature on the S10 but, as usual with modern phone launches, there’s already been plenty of leaks and rumours appearing on the web.

it’s thought the new Galaxy will get all the usual upgrades including a much faster processor, bigger battery and more internal storage.

A slight design tweak could also see Samsung push the screen to the very edges of the device with the bezels almost appearing invisible.

Unlike most of its rivals, it’s thought Samsung won’t include the controversial notch design on the S10 and will instead punch the front-facing camera out of the display.

Along with this new selfie camera, there’s likely to be some major improvements to the rear camera as well.

We’re expecting to see the S10 pack a triple rear snapper into its glass and metal body with this trio of cameras able to shoot images with improved zoom and wide angle option.

One final change could arrive in the form of reverse wireless charging which will allow the S10 to refill other devices simply by touching them.

Something that appears almost certain is that Samsung will unveil three models of the S10 at next month’s launch event.

It was originally thought that these would be called the S10, S10 Lite and S10 Plus.

However, a new leak from Mobile Fun claims that Samsung’s cheaper “Lite” option will, in fact, be called the Galaxy S10 E.

Along with the name, Mobile Fun also says that the E will feature a 5.8-inch screen but won’t include an embedded fingerprint scanner placed under it.

That new security technology will be left exclusively for the more expensive S10 and S10 Plus.

Pricing is still a secret but it’s thought the entry-level S10 E could start from £669 with the standard S10 getting a £799 price tag.

If you want the S10 Plus then expect to pay a premium with this colossal call maker possibly starting from £899.
