Epic Games has announced another special Fortnite skin that will be dropping during Season 8.
However, this new design will not be part of the Battle Pass and will only be available to a select group of gamers.
Epic Games is teaming up with phones giant Samsung to help launch the company’s next flagship device.
Those Fortnite fans who are thinking about grabbing one of the new mobile phones will also get a special exclusive skin.
The new Samsung Galaxy S10 will be launched in early March, meaning the new skin won’t be available until Fortnite Season 8 rolls around.
The new skin is called the iKONIK outfit, which inspired by K-Pop star Jung Changwoo from the band iKON.
“Lead your squad to victory with the new iKONIK outfit,” the official Fortnite description reads.
“It brings K-Pop finesse to your look. Get iKONIK now when you level-up to Samsung’s most powerful gaming device yet – the Galaxy S10+.
“The Galaxy S10+ battery automatically optimises your power consumption based on how you play. With its sliding scale feature, you can also manually adjust the battery performance for gaming versus power-saving.
“For seamless gaming, the Galaxy S10+ features up to 1TB of storage, 8GB of RAM and a lightning fast 855 Snapdragon processor that’s 33% faster than the Note 9.
“Enjoy immersive sound on the ultra-portable Galaxy Buds or the AKG N700NC headphones. The Galaxy S10+ can even combine with compatible remotes like the Gamevice.”
So even if you do grab a Fortnite Season 8 battle pass in the coming days, you won’t have access to this without an S10.
But fans might not be too worried about, following the latest exciting update regarding the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass.
It was confirmed last week that fans would be able to pick up a free Season 8 pass before its start date.
However, those who are interested in the special deal will need to complete 13 free Overtime Challenges by February 27.
This means Epic Games is giving players from now until the end of Season 7 to achieve this goal.
The development team has also confirmed that a range of Fortnite free skins will effectively be made available to everyone who picks up the next battle pass.
“Everyone who completes 13 free Overtime Challenges by February 27 will receive the upcoming Season 8 Battle Pass for FREE,” a new message from Epic Games reads.
“If you don’t have an outfit, now is your chance to get several for free. With the Battle Pass, you’ll receive two Season 8 Outfits instantly, and you can earn up to five more.
“Save your V-Bucks; this one’s on us.”
Overtime Challenges are available to complete now and will be sticking around until the end of the month.
