Fortnite earthquake event is drawing to a close, with the final few quakes about to strike the Battle Royale map.

The first Fortnite quake struck soon after the release of update 7.40 on Valentine’s Day.

That Fortnite earthquake caused a huge crack to appear in the ground near Tomato Temple, with the gap in the earth emerging in real-time.

And since then more Fortnite earthquakes have been occurring, with recent ones emerging near Pleasant Park, Salty Springs and Retail Row.

There have been almost two dozen Fortnite earthquakes in total with the final ones set to happen not long before the Fortnite season 8 release date.

A post by Twitter user @FireMonkeyFN leaked all the times that the Fortnite earthquakes are set to occur.

This was figured out using datamined assets, with two quakes occurring most days.

The exceptions to this are a few days when either a single quake occurs or three Fortnite earthquakes hit.

The final day that Fortnite earthquakes will occur takes place on February 27.

So the last Fortnite earthquakes will occur in the final stages of Fortnite season 7, with season 8 starting on February 28.

You can find a chart of when the Fortnite earthquakes should hit – in eastern time – in this story, courtesy of @FireMonkeyFN.

The final Fortnite earthquake will take place at 3.18pm eastern time on Wednesday February 27.

For those in the States on pacific time that will be 12.18pm and for those in the UK that will be 8.18pm GMT.

Fortnite season 8 teasers have so far heavily hinted that the new Battle Pass will have a pirate theme.

Could these earthquakes all lead up to a major one that will break up the Fortnite map into lots of islands?

If that’s the case, it could create waterways that the rumoured upcoming pirate ships could travel along.
