Epic Games has brought back the 14 Days of Fortnite challenge following an earlier-than-expected end date and player uproar. The 14 Days of Fortnite were initially believed to end a few days after the 14th day of Christmas – January 5 – but was unexpectedly cut short. Epic has now rectified the miscommunication and assured dismayed fans the community event is back online for at least a week. In a tweet, Epic Games said: “14 Days of Fortnite has been extended for a limited time!
“For the next week, drop in and complete any Challenges you may have missed out on to earn in-game rewards.”
Epic then confirmed in a statement the 14 Days of Christmas will remain online until January 5 at 8am UK time or 3am Eastern Time (EST).
The game developer said: “We’ll also be enabling some of the most popular Limited Time Modes that were available during the event.”
With the extended period of play, here is everything you need to know about the 14 Days of Christmas challenges and rewards you can collect now.
14 Days of Fortnite: Everything you need to know about completing the Fortnite challenge
Fortnite 14 Days of Christmas challenges:
Day 1: Join or start a Creative Server
The first Fortnite challenge asks you to test out Fortnite’s recently revealed Creative Mode by either entering a pre-existing Creative server or creating your own.
The reward for completing this challenge is a Christmas-themed spray with a red and green bauble with a “GG” on it.

Day 2: Visit two giant candy canes
The second challenge can be completed by locating and visiting two giant candy canes poking out of the world map – all of which are on top of hills.
The good news is you don’t have to visit them all in the same match, making it slightly easier to complete the task.
The reward is the uncommon “Festive Firefight” loading screen.
Day 3: Play three matches with friends
This challenge encourages you to play a total of three matches in Battle Royale with anyone on your friend list.
Doing this will earn you the snowball toy which you can toss at other players.
Day 4: Throw a snowball at players in four different games
After you have collected your snowball in the Day 3 challenge, you will have to throw it at other players across four different matches – teammates and enemies alike.
Your reward is the “Snowman’ emoticon.
Day 5: Fly through five golden rings
The next challenge will sweep you off your feet as you take to the skies to fly the X-4 Storming Plane through five golden rings dispersed across the map.
The reward for completing this challenge is the Combat Wreath – a festive-themed Back Bling cosmetic item.
Day 6: Search through six Waterside Goose Nests
On the Sixth Day of Christmas, players need to explore bodies of water for goose nests with three white eggs inside.
A few known locations are at the pond near Loot Lake, by the northeastern edge of Loot Lake and the near the frozen lake and Viking Village. Watch the video above for more clues.
Your reward for this task is a new loading screen.
14 Days of Fortnite: Win this loading screen by completing challenge two
Day 7: Find presents and boogie bombs throughout the map
To complete the task you will need to locate seven presents or boogie bombs in total.
They are found in chests and supply drops but are a pretty rare item to find – completing either set will work.
The Day 7 reward is the gingerbread man pet companion.
Day 8: Damage enemies with eight different weapons
The next challenge is pretty straightforward and as long as you keep a diverse loadout – simply damage your opponents with a cycling rotation of weapons.
This will reward you with the “Take the Elf” festive emote.
Day 9: Dance in front of nine Holiday Trees
The ninth festive challenge asks players to get their groove on in front of nine Christmas trees which are dispersed all across the map – including the one in the lobby.
Your reward for the challenge is the “Snowglobe Banner”.
Day 10: Land vehicle tricks in 10 different named locations
In order to initiate this challenge, you will need to launch your vehicle into the air from a ramp or slope and successfully land it after raking up a score.
You will need to do this in 10 of the 21 named locations which you can see on your world map.
Do this correctly and you will earn yourself the festive “Stormwing Spray”.
Day 11: Thank the Fortnite bus driver in 11 different matches
This challenge is pretty straightforward but time-consuming and requires players to thank the bus driver just before they launch themselves out of the flying vehicle.
The reward for this challenge is the “Frozen Axe Harvesting Tool”.
Day 12: Destroy 12 snowflake decorations
Not all Fortnite players will feel the festive cheer as much as others and this task might just suit them perfectly.
Simply find and destroy 12 snowflakes which can be found hanging from buildings in all of the named locations.
Fortnite will reward you with the “Snowflake” emoticon for this task.
14 Days of Fortnite: Fly the X-4 through five golden rings on Day 5
Day 13: Place 13 devices in Creative Mode
For this task you will need to head back over to Creative Mode and build a total of 13 contraptions, much like you would with any other trap in Battle Royale
Do this and you will receive the “Disco Wrap”.
Day 14: Search a total of 14 chests
Wrapping up the festive list of challenges, players simply have to explore the map for 14 treasure chests.
You can do this across a number of different games and is something you should be well familiar with at this point.
The final reward for the 14 Days of Christmas is the “Equaliser Glider”.
